Immigration and Naturalization

U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Lawyer

United States Immigration and Naturalization is administered by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Our immigration law firm represents families and workers who are interested in gaining entry into the United States. Many people may feel intimidated by the USCIS and the immigration process. We strive to provide clients with a friendly and inviting atmosphere as we facilitate their entry into the U.S. We represent people who are green cards holders (lawful permanent residents) and want to become naturalized citizens.

If you would like to talk to an attorney about immigration or naturalization, contact us to schedule an initial consultation.

We represent families including husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers and children. We represent professional workers, intra-company transferees, students, diplomats, seasonal workers, and other workers. All of these people have the common goal of entering into the U.S. permanently or temporarily to do be with family or to work.

Basic Terms Immigrants, Families, and Employers Should Know

  • Immigration: The process of entering into a new country.

  • Naturalization: There are strict requirements for becoming a United States citizen through naturalization. Some of these requirements include:
    • Being 18 years of age
    • Living in the U.S. as a lawful permanent resident for five years (or three years if married to a U.S. citizen)
    • A "physical presence" in the United States
    • Verbal and written comprehension of English

  • Lawful permanent resident: Also known as an LPR. An LPR is not a U.S. citizen, but he or she is legally identified as a permanent resident. Lawful permanent residents hold "green cards".

  • Visa: A permit for individuals such as visitors, temporary workers, and students. This permit allows people to apply for entry into the U.S. under a certain status.

Deportation and Removal Defense

If you are facing deportation or removal from the United States, you might never be able to return for any reason. Illegal immigration and criminal activity can be grounds for deportation. Our deportation attorney represents clients who are detained by immigration and need to know their options. Contact our firm if you or someone you know needs representation in a deportation case.
